Hello!

Pass Priority Hosts: Ben, Steve, Nathaniel, and Logan

The name “Pass Priority” comes from the card game Magic: The Gathering. In the game, you cast spells (play cards). In certain instances, your opponent may then choose to respond to your spell with one of their own. The action of completing your sequence(s) of spells and allowing another to respond is called passing priority. It’s a bit of an obscure reference, but it is very appropriate for our show; especially since you trade turns in a conversation.

Ben Groulx

Ben is an interface designer in Vancouver, Canada. He acts as Design Director for a data-informed web consulting group and as an independent designer participating in external evaluated ventures. He occasionally writes articles on his own site while working on Surviving Art & Terror, a book on the intersection of design and culture.

Ben lives with his girlfriend, Tiarra, and spends his day discussing design and listening to music.

Nathaniel Protter

Nathaniel is a first year student studying Communications at Capilano University and living in Vancouver, Canada. In the summer months he is a crew foreman for the tree-planting company Folklore. He’d really rather be out travelling the world, however, and intends to continue that when his studies are complete.

Nathaniel is currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Márquez

Steve McCullough

Steve is a Political Science student at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada. He also works part time in a deli in Whistler, Canada. An avid sports fan, he routinely cheers for the worst team in any given league, namely the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers. When not reading the Wheel of Time series, he can be found reading A Song of Ice and Fire.

Steve reads a lot.

William Logan Wiltse

Logan is a General Science student at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada. He works a seasonal job whilst not at school for the City of Vancouver: Traffic Operations department, as a traffic painter. Rocking sweet blue hair done by his girlfriend Talisa, he aims to please.
